The following is the current rules of Deathbat Forums. They are subject to change at any time with or without notice and failure to abide by them may be subject to punishment within the forums and will be dealt with on an individual basis. 1) Flaming: Know the difference between debating and flaming. Debating is accepted and encouraged, because we all have differences in opinion and that's what makes discussion fun. But debates are logical, a mixture of fact and opinion-based and do not contain personal attacks of another member. Flaming usually contains none of those. There's often a fine line, and if you're unsure, assume that you've gone too far. A moderator has the final say. 2) Crediting: If you're going to post any news, videos, photos, etc. to be discussed, there must be a link back to the source unless it belongs to you or Deathbat Forums. If it is not yours, it should go without saying that credit needs to be given. 3) Language: This is an English-speaking forum, so it is expected that posts will be made in English. We understand that Avenged Sevenfold have a global fanbase, but it cannot and will not work with multiple languages on one forum. 4) Swearing: We're lenient when it comes to swearing. It's not disallowed, but we certainly discourage swearing in every other post at the same time. Use good judgment. If it gets out of hand you'll be contacted by a moderator and simply asked to tone it down on first offense. 5) Trolling: Trolling is always an issue on any message board, especially one that has the potential to be controversial. Wikipedia defines trolling as: Quote: a troll is someone who posts inflammatory, extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community, such as an online discussion forum, chat room, or blog, with the primary intent of provoking readers into an emotional response or of otherwise disrupting normal on-topic discussion. Link 6) Keep the band's personal life out of conversation unless it is non-controversial. Everybody needs privacy, including them.
